About Me

Hi, my name is Kate (a.k.a. the Endorphine Junkie) and welcome to my blog!  After reading several food and running blogs (two of my favorite things), I decided to combine the two subjects and blog about my running and food adventures.

I graduated with a degree in Marketing Mangement from Grove City College, a very small school in Grove City, PA (about an hour north of Pittsburgh).  I started running in college to stay in shape for lacrosse, and after I graduated I continued to run for fun (something I never thought I would do!).  I ran my first race, The Air Force Half Marathon, with my Dad.  That race still holds my best half marathon time, 1:42:17.

GCC Lacrosse Seniors (Class of 2007) being silly :)

I love my family and am happy most of them live so close.  We're all pretty goofy...and I always tell people that once they meet my family, I will finally make sense to them :)

My family at our rehearsal dinner...we're all a little crazy!

I'm what many would call a foodie, and I love trying new recipes and cooking with my husband, Andrew.  We also love going out to eat (probably something we do a little too much...).  Andrew is a meat and potato guy and I am a skip dinner and just eat dessert girl, but we both have a love of eating good food :).
Andrew and I at our rehersal dinner...that steak was AWESOME!

Speaking of desserts, I'm also a chocoholic.  Many (if not all) of the desserts posted on this blog will have chocolate in it.  That being said, chocolate is a great source of endorphins, making it healthy, right?
This was the chocolate fountain at our family reunion a couple years ago...isn't it B-E-A-U-tiful?!

I hope you enjoy my constant search for endorphins through running and cooking and eating :)
